what the...???

I've been seeing this thing a lot- it's been there for the past several months where they are doing some construction down the road a ways from me. Every time I pass it, I think, "What the heck?" It's had me puzzled for quite some time.


Yes, that is a bass boat hanging from that crane!


It's the strangest sight! But it makes perfect sense to me now that I know why it's there. They have been building a new bridge over the "river" (more like a large creek, lol) and they use the crane to lower the boat into the water so the men can get into it to work down there. The banks are way too steep to carry the boat down themselves, I am certain they would all fall! So... I learned something new! LOL!
