frozen. solid.

I guess I should be careful what I wish for!

I had been admiring photos that were posted of branches and plants covered in a thin sheet of ice, and thinking to myself how beautiful they looked and wishing I could have a chance to photograph some frozen stuff.

Last night gave me my chance, that's for sure! We had a nice, pretty dusting of snow, about 1/4" or so.. I was thinking of pretty, wintry snow photos. Then as the evening wore on, the pretty snow turned to freezing rain and covered EVERYTHING with a layer almost 1/2" thick of ice! Schools are cancelled, the dr's office is closed (which sucks because Jason is out of his medicine and I wanted to get him a refill!), and everyone called in to work so J is working by himself all day today (which means I will have to trek out in a bit to bring him some lunch- and I do NOT like driving on ice!).

But at least I got my ice photos.
