bird hunting...

We were playing outside on the swing set and all of a sudden, Kaitlyn just FROZE. She got the biggest grin on her face and I just KNEW she was up to something!

She had spotted a robin in the yard. Slowly, slowly she tiptoed towards her prey.


Almost there... he still hasn't seen her, she is VERY stealthy.


Oh no! She got overexcited and ran towards him! He takes off to safety in the magnolia tree- smart bird!


She follows him to the tree, first eyeing the branches and deciding whether she could climb to him or not... she decides against it (good thing, she is afraid of heights!) so she picks blossoms off the tree instead.


This was our "big adventure" for the day... she has been chattering up a storm about how she ALMOST caught a bird for a pet!
