you ever just have one of those days...

...where nothing big really happened but you still just feel "down"? I'm having one of "those" days today. It started off fine, Devin was sick today but otherwise the morning went as usual. I guess it's a lot of little things and finally TODAY they are all coming to the surface and I just feel BLAH. I don't know how to explain it. Am I the only one who just feels "off" sometimes?

Anyway... enough depressing junk.

I did play with my external flash a little. I wanted to try using it off of the camera, kind of like a one light studio setup. I need a lot of practice with this, and definitely a bigger reflector on a stand- but it CAN be done and gosh darn it, I'm gonna figure it out!

I played around with the angle of the light, mostly bouncing it off of the white ceiling since I have greyish blue walls in my living room. Took a couple of shots of Miss Thang and only one of sick boy, nothing special or spectacular but I thought I'd share. At least I got nice catchlights!

I know this is looking up his nose, but this is all he gave me before he decided he was NOT in the mood for pics and went upstairs to take a nap.


K was dragging her blanket that her Meemaw made for her for Christmas, it's a little big to be dragging around but she does it anyway! You can see she is just thrilled to see the crazy camera lady again.


And this one I just thought was funny, she kept making this weird squinty smiley face and I asked her to please OPEN her eyes (so I could see what catchlights I was getting) and this is the face she made:


I'm not on theme today either... maybe tomorrow I will get back into the groove. Sigh.
