mine.

I thought I would be ON THEME for once this week and post about the important guys in MY life.

Here are my boys:

They were leaving for their Father's Day tradition of a round of golf this morning. It was a bittersweet day for Jason being his first Father's Day since his dad passed. But I think that carrying on the tradition with our boys that his dad started with him and his brother will help ease the pain. If only a tiny bit.

I love these guys more than words can say. They (and miss K of course!) are my WORLD. Everything I do in my life is because of and for them. I want my kids to look back on their childhoods fondly and know that we did our best to give them everything they need, and lots of things they DON'T need. ;) But most of all, that they were (and are) loved, appreciated, respected, and heck, we even LIKE them most of the time! That's saying a LOT for having two pre-teen boys and a little girl who is coming out of the terrible three's!

And what can I say about Jason?

He is my rock. My soulmate. He puts up with my neurotic, anxiety-ridden existence. He makes me laugh. He is an amazing father to our kids. And most of all, he has put up with me since 1991! (Yep, do the math- I was only 14 when we started "going together"!) We celebrated 12 years of marriage on June 8 of this year, and I hope we have at LEAST 50 more years together!

And hey- look at this photo I pulled off of his memory card from our little mini-vacation we took for our anniversary! He done good!

Another very important man to me is my dad. He is the epitome of the "strong, silent type". He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after 36 years in the military this past March. (Air Force/ Air National Guard) I couldn't be more proud of my dad's career and all of the sacrifices he has made for our family and our country. He is a man of few words, but when he does speak it is well worth listening to. My kids ADORE their "Pa Bob" and I have loved getting to know the MAN my dad is after knowing the dad he has always been while I was growing up. He is a pretty cool guy after all! (you couldn't have told me that 10 years ago though! LOL!)

(Sorry I don't have a photo of my dad readily available at the moment!)
