update.

*WHEW*

Life has been crazy the past couple of weeks! I just realized I have really slacked off on my blogging this week too... eek!

OK, so here's a quick update, just hitting the highlights here.

Jason went to jail. Don't worry, it wasn't REAL jail! It was for the MDA charity. I am proud to say he raised over $400 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Wednesday! I know it's not a huge amount, but every little bit does help in the fight against MD. Here he is in his "cell" (he looks too happy to be a true jailbird huh?):


Um... Oh, Devin got a haircut. A HAIRCUT!!! He looks like a totally different kid. He says he wants a new "urban" photo shoot soon with his hair fixed (spiky/messy). It wasn't fixed when I took this, I'll have to get some shots when it IS fixed, it looks sooo good!


I've been working my tail off, so that's good. The kids are going nuts without my undivided attention but I have managed to squeeze in some park and swimming pool time with them so that seems to appease them for now.

Oh, and news from today- we bought a new car! Well, not NEW, but new to us. It's a 2005 Buick Rendezvous. Jason is at the lot signing the papers and picking it up as I type this. I'll grab a few shots when he gets home with it in a little while and add them to this post later. He traded in his other Buick (the 2000 Regal). It was a great car really, he is kind of sad to see it go. But we do need something with more room, and the Rendezvous will seat 7 so we can actually all go someplace in one vehicle AND bring the kids' friends along too! Woohoo! My car isn't really worth anything, it's old but it still runs good plus it is paid off so we will just keep it. For now. :)

Tomorrow we are going to Indianapolis. I volunteered my time to shoot a charity concert up there for an adorable 13 year old gal who has Leukemia. It will be a fun event, but emotional I am sure. If you want to check out the cause, here is her myspace page with all the info:

Here are a few snapshots of the new car! (not car, more like SUV really I guess) We bought it at Uebelhor Chevrolet here in Jasper. Our salesman's name is Jim Anderson, he is a super nice man and he really went above and beyond for us- even walked around for an hour the other night in the pouring rain with Jason while he browsed the cars, and he has stayed late 2 nights with us trying to get this deal done for us. So if anyone is in the area and is in the market for a new or used vehicle, I would HIGHLY recommend stopping by there and talking to Jim!
