where to start.
I'm not really sure where to even start posting these photos from the concert this weekend! (Yep, you did read that right, between Jason and me we took 1439 pictures! My eyes are starting to go crossed from looking at them, lol!)
I suppose I'll start at the beginning... the reason for all the fuss, so to speak. Allisyn (Aly). Here is a blurb I copied and pasted from the bash's myspace page.
"I would like to tell you about a beautiful, brave 13 year old little girl named Allisyn Rainbolt. Allisyn was a typically healthy and active seventh grade student who loved to attend her Perry Meridian Middle School, until September 2007 when she became sick and feverish. Her family doctor referred her mother, Raquel Klave, to take her to Riley Children's Hospital for advanced testing. The Doctors at Riley Hospital diagnosed Allisyn with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Allisyn is now undergoing chemotherapy. She has endured countless blood tests, a port being put into her chest. She has taken all of this on with amazing smile and a positive attitude. Allisyn's battle with this life threatening condition has just begun. She will undergo months of chemo treatments, multiple daily medications and many more of the same tests to monitor her condition. Allisyn will not be able to attend school and will have to do something called home bound school. She can no longer go and do things like a regular teenager. She does not have the energy or is too sick. Allisyn has six siblings: her brothers, Aaron and Austin Rainbolt. Her sisters, Jayde, Taylor, Madison and Shawna Klave. Her step-dad and mother Raquel Klave are holding the family together as best they can while Allisyn fights this fight."
Here are a few random shots of Aly and some of her supporters I snapped throughout the day.
This is Aly and two of her sisters.
She has such an infectious smile! You just can't help but to beam from ear to ear.
Here she is with the lady from Make A Wish
And just a fun shot of her with a friend
I also got tons of fun "people photos" throughout the day...
some boys playing basketball...
kids getting their faces painted...
this ADORABLE baby girl who kept shaking her booty for me (loved it!)...
and I forgot to post this one with yesterday's, it's Devin holding up the shirt he won for ringing the bell at the top of the rock wall!
OK, I'll quit there... for now! I think I'll break the band photos up and tell a bit about each band (linking their websites if I have them). It was just SO SO awesome to see so many people come out to show their support for Aly and her family, and the make a wish kids. Really awesome. My faith in the kindness of strangers is totally renewed after this weekend.
