K

My 2 year old daughter asked me yesterday if I would "take a click" of her. Of course, I couldn't say no, she is almost as hard to photograph as my 10 year old! I pulled out my makeshift black backdrop (cheap black fabric), set us up near my glass side door (best light in the house), and got started. I swear, her hair did look good about 5 seconds before I started shooting! I put a barrette in her hair and had her pretty red curls looking "just so"... then all hell broke loose, she ripped the barrette out of her hair and laid down on the floor. It figures! I considered for a split second to try and put the barrette back in, she balked, so I just let it go. I didn't want to ruin her good mood by fighting over her hair. Besides, this is what she usually looks like anyway.

And a couple of "others" from the shoot, just for fun:

Pretending to be "scared" of the camera:

And the very last shot I got, a split second before she turned off my camera! I guess that's a sure way to know when they've had enough, huh?

I couldn't get her to stay sitting in the red chair... I learned a very important lesson: Go with the flow! Oh, and I also learned I REALLY need to get a reflector...
