Down by the river...

I took my daughter to the park down by the river yesterday. We needed some "girl time", it's been ages it seems since we were able to go outside and play! She was dressed up from lunch with daddy, and of course, I don't go anywhere without my camera, so it turned into a kind of impromptu photo shoot while we were at it! She had a blast, and it felt SO good to get some fresh air for a change! I am always amazed and blown away by her energy, and the way she will stop and examine every single stick or blade of grass as if it is the most interesting thing in the world. Oh, to have that childish sense of wonder again.

The only bad part about our trip to the park was, there was this mean, ugly old goose that kept hanging around. He was clearly very irritated at K's gleeful squeals (which she always does when she is playing!) and he kept honking rather loudly at us. Which scared the bejeepers out of K!

We had SO much fun together yesterday. I had forgotten how GOOD it feels to go outside and just run around like a lunatic, play tag, and roll around in the grass. Definitely things that should be on my "To Do" list every day!
