New camera!!! Yippee!!!

I got a new camera and lenses!!! I am literally on cloud 9. I got a Canon Digital Rebel XTi, a 50mm f/1.4 lens, and a 28-105mm lens! (along with some accessories, memory cards, extra battery, etc) I also got a Crumpler 6 million dollar home (camera bag). I am SO glad I didn't go with the 7 million bag, the 6 is gi-normous! I honestly didn't think it would be that big! I guess I can't visualize size in centimeters.

I just got all this stuff yesterday, so I haven't had much of a chance to get any realy GOOD shots yet. I have been playing around with it a lot though! J almost didn't get dinner last night because I was so engrossed in the camera manual. I literally didn't notice my stomach growling! He had to snap me out of it and ask me when dinner would be done, LOL! Sorry dear!

I am totally in LOVE with my 50mm lens too... this little thing is amazing! It's such a learning curve though, and it is SO tempting to try and shoot everything wide open! But of course, I can NOT seem to get good focus that way. I have to learn to restrain myself and stop it down a bit. Blah.

I need to get one of my boys to go outside with me and let me try out my 28-105. I really want to test out the zoom and see if it will be good enough to use for sports this spring. The boys will both be playing baseball.

OK, the camera is "staring" at me again, I better not neglect her! I'm off to (hopefully) find a willing victim... er, subject!
