faith in me

I was thinking about faith, faith in God, faith in my kids, faith in my husband... and it hit me like a ton of bricks how much faith my kids have in ME. Gosh, what an awesomely HUGE responsibility! They depend on me for SO MUCH. It's overwhelming when I really think about it!

Kaitlyn was playing around, being her usual crazy silly self, jumping off of the fireplace (what she does for fun when she is bored with playing Pet Shops), and she kept yelling to me to catch her. After catching her about a dozen times, my arms got tired so I just sat and watched her jump... and jump... and jump... and while I was watching it occurred to me how symbolic it was- my kids have complete faith in me that I will always be here to catch them- that I will NEVER let them fall. WOW. I hope I can be worthy of that faith for a long, long time!


(She makes the funniest faces when she jumps, doesn't she? She is TOTALLY into it!)
