goose pond

Near my parents' house, there is a huge amount of land that is being reclaimed and turned into a fish & wildlife preservation area. They have done a LOT of work on it so far, and eventually it will be returned to its original wetland state. I went for a drive out there last night with my uncle (a nature photographer) to check it out. We are both excited for it to be "done" because there are so many great areas there that will be just gorgeous once they are filled with water! We only stopped to take pictures at this one spot, but it was really stunning with the dramatic sky and the scrubby water plants everywhere. I only wish my landscape skills could do it justice!
