flare, baby!

I had to force myself to go outside today and take a picture of something, ANYTHING! My stupid sinuses are STILL hurting and stuffed up. I've been trying to just stay in so I don't make matters worse, but the sun is shining, the sky is BLUE with nice fluffy white clouds, and it isn't BITTERLY cold or snowing.... so I MADE myself do it.

And I am SO glad I did!

I just grabbed this one literally two feet outside my back door. This is my back yard and patio. I used my fisheye lens! Check out that flare! I did NOT photoshop that in! In fact, ALL I did to both of these shots was convert from RAW, add a little vibrance in Lightroom, and resize & sharpen for web! I am actually pretty pleased with myself, lol!



I walked a few more feet so I could cut the retaining wall out of the pic, the fisheye made the ground line a bit distorted but I still thought it was cool. :)



This just makes me THAT MUCH more eager for spring to come! I wanna play outside!
