la mort d'une rose
(death of a rose)
And b&w
This is from the bouquet Jason bought me for Valentine's Day- this rose is the first to go! The rest of them, surprisingly, still look decent! I was just playing around today... it is sleeting and there is a(nother) BIG ice storm coming our way so I'm stuck indoors. Again.
I have been inspired by the plexiglass "reflection" shots I've seen lately. I don't have any plexi but I do have coffee and end tables with glass inserts! I lifted the insert, put my son's black fleece blanket under it, pulled the end up and draped it over a chair as a makeshift background, and played. And played. And played. I did NOT get this "right" in camera! I had to darken the black in photoshop, I did a bunch of things to the color, contrast, etc until I finally had to quit! I'm not sure I'm happy with this, but I spent enough time on it I may as well post it!
And is it just me, or does it look like a praying mantis when I turn it sideways?! CREEPY!
Or maybe it's just my sinus medicine... it DOES make me a bit loopy!
