Spring is returning...
Slowly, but surely. It was slightly warmer out yesterday, so I fnally had the chance to take my new (used, but new to me!) lens out for a play! Things have been SO SLOW lately. I haven't had a single session since my senior. I think (hope!) it is just the cold, rainy, nasty weather and people know I am on-location natural light. I do have a few things coming up, but no definite dates for those. I have an acquaintance who wants maternities done in the next month or so (she is due in July) and she also wants newborn photos afterwards. My niece is turning one next week, so I am the "official" photographer of her b-day party (unpaid, of course, but my sis wants to pay my pb'ing prices for the prints at least. I "might" let her, I do need the money for that lens I have been eyeing, LOL!). Also, a coworker of my hubby's is married to a man who is in Iraq and is coming home on R&R next month, she wants me to do portraits of them while he is here. So there are things in the works, but it seems so slow right now! I know my kids are very tired of me poking the camera in their faces all the time... lol.
Anyway, the point of this post! I took my "new" lens out and I found out that it has this nifty macro switch on it! And it did great! I got some really pretty (I think) shots of the tulips in front of my ds's school, so I thought I would share some nice, colorful, "spring-like" pics since I have nothing else going on at the moment!
