Slip 'N Slide

Sigh. My mom bought the kids a Slip 'N Slide... you remember those, the death traps from when we were kids? I remember many a time when I or one of my sisters cut our legs on those metal stakes, or one of us went shooting off the end of the slide like a rocket and skinned ourselves up. Just the THOUGHT of a Slip 'N Slide makes me extremely nervous, to this day!

Well... MY kids LOVE IT. They can NOT get enough of this thing. Austin is the only one who uses it "correctly" though. Devin is too bony, he can't slide on his belly on it because it hurts his ribs. So he just runs and slides on his feet down the slide (ACK!). I can see the broken bones now... And of course Kaitlyn doesn't get the whole concept, so she just tries to run down the slide through the sprinklers. Oh my... thank goodness for health insurance is all I've got to say. THANKS A LOT, MOM. (LOL)







On another note, don't you just love Kaitlyn's new bikini! I got it for her for our Florida trip (I bought the boys' swim trunks after last summer off the clearance racks- score!). I saw the halter top and board shorts and just KNEW she had to have that suit! I even got brave and bought myself a bikini for the trip... hey, I figure I'll never see those people from the beach again, so what the heck! But FAT CHANCE on me posting pics of myself in it... that ain't gonna happen! ROFL!
