Yesterday

Yesterday, Austin had his weekly appt. with his therapist (she requested I come along too, to "talk"). SHE disagrees with the psych doctor's diagnosis. UGH- just when I was finally accepting it and moving on...

Anyway, she says that Austin scored too well (too low) on the social behaviors part of this questionnaire thingy that she had his teacher and me fill out a month ago about him. (it was a bunch of pages of different behaviors and I had to rank them on a scale of 1-5 how often I saw him doing them- 1 for never, 5 for all the time). So... she got the psych. on the phone and the psych said that she (therapist) knows Austin better so she trusts her opinion. BUT- she still feels that she had basis for her opinion, so she wants to do a behavior study on him next week (where she and a couple other psych's will observe and talk to him and discuss). So now we are back in limbo again... IS there or ISN'T there something up with him! Psych. now says that if the Asperger's diagnosis is removed, she still believes he has a social anxiety disorder and OCD, at least. I just want to KNOW- one way or the other, you know! It is so FRUSTRATING not knowing!

On a happier note... hubby volunteered to pose for pics for me! Yay! He HATES having his pic taken, but he knows how down I've been lately and how frustrated I've been feeling not having anyone willing to sit for pics for me (the kids are totally burned out on photos now). He even approved of these 3 for me to post here for you! (he never likes pics of himself, he's self-conscious about his weight but he has been doing SO well with his diet and exercise and I am SO proud of him for losing as much as he has so far!) WDYT? Now you can see where Kaitlyn & Devin get the red hair from (well, sort of... if you look at the goatee...LOL)
