I'm bad...

but I'm sorry! I just realized today that I haven't blogged since my b-day!

We've been SO busy the past few weeks. With vacation, then the move, then working my tail off getting settled (which, btw, we are almost there!), traveling back & forth to my parents' house for various reasons, having people visit us to see the new house, getting the boys' school records transferred, and getting to know this new town, we are POOPED! I had a spell there where I didn't even TOUCH my camera for almost two whole weeks-- now THAT'S a sin!

I managed to get the kids together the other day for an attempt at getting a "good" pic of the three of them that was worthy for my free canvas from canvasondemand.com (they give you a credit when you sign up for a free PRO account!). I still haven't gotten "the one" yet, but I thought I'd share some that were "OK":









I slapped my good 'ole 50mm f/1.4 back on for these.. I realized I have been neglecting her for a while now. I have mainly kept my 70-210mm f/4 lens on since I've been trying to do more macros (plus it's AMAZING for portraits outdoors!). I renewed my love for the 50 though... and I remember exactly WHY I forked over the extra money to get this one instead of the 1.8!

Hmmm... it seems my pics went a bit soft on the upload. I dunno why... I promise they were sharper when I was editing them! UGH.

On another note, I haven't had a single session in TWO MONTHS now. And I am not even really missing them! (but I'm missing the money!) It's been nice to have this time to just hang with the kids and be a little lazy (not TOO lazy, I mean, we DID move and I DID pack and unpack everything by myself!). I have to say I'll be a little sad when school starts again. Not to mention that Devin will be in 4th grade this year and Austin will be in 6th! (MIDDLE SCHOOL- YIKES!)

Thank goodness I still have Kaitlyn around to entertain me... or to aggravate me, depending on the day, lol!
