new glasses and a goopy eye

The boys got their new glasses today! No big deal for Austin, this is his 4th pair since he started wearing them 3 years ago. But Devin is NOT happy about having to wear glasses now! He thinks he'll look like a dork and kids won't like him. I think he looks GREAT! He doesn't need them all the time, mainly just when he's reading the board at school or trying to see things far away.

I had to steal these shots of Austin while he was up in his room... (he picked out his OWN glasses- without ME!?! What is this world coming to? Today is the first time I've seen what he chose!)

Devin would only let me take ONE shot... as you can tell he is NOT a happy camper. Hopefully he will get used to them or someone will pay him a compliment about them at school on Monday and that will change his attitude.


But doesn't he look SO cute (ahem... HANDSOME) in them?

And I can't have a post without Kaitlyn getting her "face time"... this morning she woke up with her left eye crusted almost shut. I managed to get it all cleaned out and get some eye drops in there but she has been complaining all day of it burning. I'm having a really hard time getting her to keep her hands out of them! I REALLY hope it's not pink eye... my niece's bday party is tomorrow (she's 2!) and I do NOT want to miss that!

I tried to get a "good" picture of her but she only wanted to make this face. She only wanted me to take HER picture because I was taking one of Devin at that time. Jealous much? :)


Here is a closer shot of her eye. I can't take her to the dr until Monday (no WAY am I going to the ER for this, lol) so my fingers are crossed that it just clears up overnight or something. Grrr.


OK, I see Devin is outside skateboarding so I need to get out there and take some more pictures! (IF he'll let me!)
