Blessed

I just have to say, I am SO blessed to have such wonderful kids! My boys are simply the BEST gift-givers! (In my humble opinion!) They always put so much thought into the things they give as gifts, and I believe that means SO much more than just going to any old store and picking up the first thing that catches their eye!

Devin made me a beautiful card at school, complete with a tissue paper heart! Inside, it says "Happy Mother's Day, you're the best mom in the whole universe!" Awww.

Austin wrote me the most beautiful poem. Seriously, I bawled my eyes out when I read it. I just HAD to share it with you all. (keep in mind that this kid is only 11 years old... who gave him this adult brain??!!)



In case you can't read it, the poem is titled "I am, You are" and it says:

I am the sheep,
You are my flock.
I am the pond,
You are my dock.

I am Chicago,
You are my Bear.
I am the riches,
You are my heir.

I am the token,
You are my slots.
I am the genius,
You are my robots.

I am the chewing,
You are my gum.
I am the "going to",
You are my "coming from".

I am one thing,
You are the other.
I am your son,
You are my mother.

Isn't that the BEST Mother's Day poem EVER??!! It is for me!
